At Buckeye we offer extensive employee training to ensure our residential specialists have the skills they need to feel confident and well-prepared for caring for their clients with disabilities and co-occurring conditions.
Before our employees get started on the job, our new employee training includes MUI, OSHA, HIPPA, CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration. We not only provide on-site, client specific training, we also offer continuous training to help our employees manage their clients and extend their knowledge base. These training workshops are led by experts in their respective fields, including Cleveland Clinic psychologists, behavioral therapists, and Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities trainers and teach our employees important strategies for working with adults with disabilities and challenges. From mental health training to crisis management, behavioral skills training and more, our employee training is integral to our goal of helping our clients live healthy, active lives.
