Chad Konkle - CEO
Chad Konkle, a Ravenna native and graduate of Ravenna High School, has been a part of the developmental disability community for 10+ years, and has held various roles in the residential, school and day habilitation settings. Chad has spent 5 of those years as a Program Supervisor for two different residential agencies in the area. Chad has also been an Independent Provider for over 5 years, along with being Co-Owner and CEO for Buckeye Residential Solutions for a little over 3 years now. Chad is a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities and has an excellent rapport within the county, and truly understands how to help his consumers build their independence as residents in their community and strives to help all consumers to be as independent as possible in all of their life choices.
Matt Ferrell - Chief Financial Officer
Matt Ferrell, also from Ravenna and a graduate of Ravenna High School. Matt Completed the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Toledo while working in the Pharmaceutical Care and Outcomes Research Laboratory. He received his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in Pharmaceutical sciences and has worked in laboratories and hospitals doing medical research. Matt has been involved in the developmental disability community for 10+ years and has worked in both the residential and vocational settings. Matt has experience as a direct care staff, home manager, and in administration as a Residential and Vocational Program Coordinator along with being Co-Owner and CFO for Buckeye Residential Solutions for 3+ years. Matt has a strong understanding of the financial aspects of the business as well as keeping up to date on all the state’s policy and procedures. He also loves being a part of the consumer’s lives and assisting them in any way to help them reach their goals.
Robert Vernon - Program Manager
Robert Vernon grew up in Kent Ohio and is a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. He began his employment with Buckeye Residential Solutions nearly three years ago and has built a rapport with each of the individuals Buckeye works with. Robert is currently the Program Manager for Buckeye Residential. He is also a certified instructor in crisis intervention and prevention. Though he has only been in the field for three years he has been with Buckeye through a majority of its growth, and therefore has a deep understanding of how the company works and of the individuals it serves. Robert believes strongly in the idea of working toward a higher quality of life for individuals through quality staff, high levels of training, and a passion for the work. He attempts to instill this passion in all the employees he hires and trains.
Dr. Paul Lynn - Compliance Officer
Dr. Lynn is a Human Services Congressional Letter recipient with 31 years of experience providing clinical and community based Complex Needs Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities services. He has extensive experience with policy development, strategic planning, labor analysis, and budgets. He has an excellent public service record, managing human services organizations, nonprofits and providing clinical compliance. Dr. Lynn has worked in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kentucky as a Special Education Administrator, Court Liaison, Investigator, Staff Trainer, County Board Manager and Clinical Officer.
Elaine Sturbaum - Administrative Assistant
Elaine Sturbaum resides in McDonald, Ohio with her husband. Before meeting her husband she adopted two boys with special needs. Elaine holds a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Mastersin Special Education. She owned a large day care in Kent for over 14 years and was noted for taking developmentally disabled children. She held a position with an agency that provided resources and care to parents with special needs children in a six county area. Most recently she has held the position of Administrative Assistant for two agencies caring for developmentally disabled individuals.
